Accommodation
Check in time: 3pm until 10pm, please note we do not allow arrivals after 10pm and cannot leave keys. Check out time: 11am We have 10 boutique en suite bedrooms, including two rooms with French doors overlooking the historic West Gate to Winchester
Decorations
Decorations are permitted when hiring out an area for exclusive use. Please let us know what you intend to bring and we will be happy to assist dressing the area.
Children
Children are permitted in the bar until 9pm. Children who are residents in the hotel are permitted in the bar at all times but should be accompanied by an adult.
Dog Policies
Dogs are welcome in all areas of the pub, restaurant and garden. Well behaved dogs are permitted in selected bedrooms but must not be left unattended. Lucy, the pub dog, would love to say hello to your furry friend!
Planning Your Visit
The Westgate is a 5-6 minute walk from Winchester Train Station, and a 10 minute walk from Winchester Central Bus Station. The Pub is located on Winchester’s Park & Ride Bus Route.
Tower Street multi-storey car park is just 150 yards away. Parking is chargeable at circa £18 per 24 hours. Parking is also available in the Train Station Car Park.
Accessibility
All rooms are accessed via a steep uneven staircase, our rooms are not suitable for those with mobility issuesThe is no accessible WC in the pub, our bathrooms are accessed via a set of steps to the pub basement.
Bicycles for Hotel Guests
Bike storage is permitted in our enclosed (uncovered) courtyard when the pub closes at (up to) midnight. However, there is limited access before 8am on the following day. Speak to the team when checking in to arrange.
Consumption of own product on the premises / Corkage
Alcohol & food purchased outside of the venue is not permitted in the bar. Celebration cakes are permitted with prior agreement. Hotel guests are allowed to bring their own food or drinks for consumption in-room only.
